Purpose

To consider representations made to the advertisement of a
Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) in relation to a proposed 20mph
speed limit for the parish of Figheldean, and to recommend an
appropriate way forward.

(i)             The proposals be implemented as
advertised.
 
(ii)            The objectors be advised
accordingly.
 
This decision was published on 30 September
2025 and will come into force on 8 October 2025.

Reasons for the decision

To improve road safety and promote active
travel for pedestrians within the village of Figheldean following concerns raised by the local
community to Figheldean Parish Council
and Stonehenge LHFIG.
 

The proposal has the
support of the locally elected member, Stonehenge Local Highway
Footway Improvement Group (LHFIG) and Area Board.
 

Alternative options considered

 

To:

Implement the proposal as
advertised.
 

(ii)           
Implement the proposal as advertised with
amendments.

 

(iii)          
Abandon the proposal.
