Purpose: To update Members on the current unpaid carers services in Flintshire including the outcome of the recent procurement exercise and review by the Ombudsman.

Content: (a)       That the Committee acknowledged the update on the process of recommissioning unpaid carers services; (b)       That the Committee acknowledged the outcome of the PSOW’s “Own Initiative” Investigation into Carers Services and the resulting action plan;   (c)        That the Committee acknowledged the outcome of the Carers Wales “Track the       Act” Report; and   (d)       That the Committee endorsed the positive work underway with NEWCIS to develop the unpaid carer services and the Carers Centre as a hub for unpaid carers in Flintshire.
