Purpose: To allow East Sussex Highways to carry out works, East Sussex County Council have made an Order under Sections 14(1) and 15(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which will temporarily close the following lengths of road;
Content: Temporary Road Closures Enys Road – from its junction with St Annes Road to its junction with Selwyn Road. Diversion via U2126 Enys Road - U2112 Selwyn Road - U2124 Arundel Road - U2108 St Annes Road and vice versa. Enys Road – from its junction with Lewes Road to its junction with Carew Road. Diversion via U2126 Enys Road - U2120 Carew Road, Bedfordwell Road - A2021 Lewes Road and vice versa. Enys Road – from its junction with Carew Road to its junction with St Annes Road. Diversion via U2126 Enys Road - U2108 St Annes Road - U2120 Hartfield Road, Carew Road and vice versa. A safe route will be provided for pedestrians and vehicular access for residents and to properties maintained whenever possible. The Order commences 9 June 2025 and lasts for a period of 18 months, or until works are completed, whichever is earlier. However, it is anticipated works will be undertaken between 9 June & 30 September 2025 depending upon the weather conditions.
