Date of Decision: June 24, 2025

Purpose: To amend the Council’s suite of Operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Content: Cabinet has: (i)   Agreed the proposed changes to the KPI suite set out at Appendix A, for quarterly reporting throughout 2025-26, including the recommendation for staff turnover and sickness measures to be scrutinised at Employment and Staffing Committee, rather than as part of each KPI report. (ii) Agreed that the suggested changes to the calculation and monitoring period of the sickness KPI and the monitoring of emails are not taken forward, for the reasons outlined at paragraph 12. (iii) Noted the introduction of a new additional suite of measures, called Strategic Indicators (SIs), as set out at paragraphs 16-19 and at Appendix B. (iv) Asked officers to produce a pilot service dashboard for members to review by the end of the first quarter of 2025-26, which will then form the basis for other service dashboards to be rolled out by the end of the year.
