Purpose: Approval of the new Climate Emergency Action Plan 2025-2030

Content: *RECOMMENDATIONS TO COUNCIL   That Cabinet recommends to Council that:   a)    The Climate Emergency Action Plan 2025-2030 (Appendix 1) is approved, including the details of individual projects detailed in Appendix 2 and Appendix 3, subject to the subsequent preparation of either business cases or Project Initiation Documents as necessary, in respect of the required funding for them. b)    That the Project Initiation Documents and associated funding for the following projects from the £1M set aside within the Climate Emergency Action Plan reserve are approved: i)      Housing decarbonisation officer at a cost of £307,000 (Appendix 4) ii)    Tree project officer at a cost of £200,000 (Appendix 5) c)    Authority is delegated to the Director for Planning and the Environment in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Environmental Strategy to make any minor factual and/or editorial changes to the Action Plan.
