Purpose: The report will present a range of highway policies which have been reviewed and updated for consideration by Executive.
Content: Resolved – (1) That consultation be carried out on the attached draft City Centre Access Policy as set out in Appendix 1 to Document “L” or as amended by Executive with local businesses, residents and Bradford BID. (2) That authority be delegated to the Strategic Director of Place, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder, to amend the City Centre Access Policy based on the findings of such consultation and that subject to such amendments the policy is formally adopted for implementation. (3) That the Executive endorsed and approved the adoption of the EV Charging Policy as set out in Appendix 2 to Document “L” to be implemented as a limited roll-out pilot scheme for those properties with an EV vehicle which also have dedicated on-street parking places. (4) That consultation on the EV Charging policy be carried out with elected members and residents on the scope of the policy and that results of the consultation be presented to the Executive for consideration of further refinement to either the policy or the scope of its application. (5) That the Executive endorsed and approved the adoption of the Red Routes Policy as set out in Appendix 3 to Document “L”. (6) That the Executive endorsed and approved the adoption of the Critical Routes Access Policy as set out in Appendix 4 to Document “L”. (7) That an annual performance report relating to the operation of the EV Charging Policy and Red Routes Policy be presented to the Regeneration and Environment Overview & Scrutiny Committee as part of the annual Transport Performance update report on the uptake of private EV charging infrastructure implementation and on the financial matters related to the operation of both policies.
