Purpose: To receive the Ombudsman Annual Review Letter.

Content: The Executive Resolved That  (i)    the letter from the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman (LGCSO) be noted; and           (ii)   the work to improve the Council’s complaints handling processes be noted. Reason: Effective complaints handling processes are a key part of the Council’s assurance framework. The LGCSO Annual Review letter provides insight into the Council’s performance around complaints, and it is recommended that the letter is shared with the Executive and the Resource and Finance Scrutiny Committee for consideration.
