Purpose: 1. To seek approval for a scheme which provides a consistent level of support. 2. To seek approval to consult on changes to improve administration, by ignoring small changes in income, to reduce reassessment of awards and rebilling of Council Tax. 3. To provide an update on the Council Tax Reduction (CTR) scheme in Bristol.  

Content: The Committee RESOLVED:   1. To note the content of the report and its financial implications.   2. To agree (unanimous vote in favour) the approach on Bristol’s 2026/27 Council Tax Reduction (CTR) scheme.   3. To approve (unanimous vote in favour) the Autumn consultation option for administration changes for Bristol’s 2026/27 Council Tax Reduction (CTR) scheme   4. To approve (unanimous vote in favour) the expansion of Bristol City Council’s Section 13A award to include people with a terminal illness.
