Purpose: 1. To seek approval of the proposed methodology identifying sites for disposal from the Council’s asset portfolio. 2. To seek approval for the disposal of BCC assets.

Content: The Committee RESOLVED:   1. To approve (5 members voting in favour and 3 against) the proposed methodology / financial appraisal tool for identifying sites for disposal from the council’s asset portfolio.   2. To authorise (5 members voting in favour and 3 against) the Executive Director for Growth and Regeneration, in consultation with Chair of the Strategy and Resources Committee to take all steps required to agree terms and complete the disposal of the Bristol City Council assets specified in exempt Appendix E which have been identified following analysis of the Council’s estate (including incurring agency fees which may be over the key decision threshold) as outlined in the report.   3. To defer (unanimous vote) a decision on recommendation 3 as set out in the report (which sought approval to authorise the Executive Director for Growth and Regeneration, in consultation with the Chair of the Strategy and Resources Committee and the S151 Officer, to agree terms, progress and complete the disposal of the playing field land at Oasis Academy John Williams and Oasis Academy New Oak, Hengrove).  A further report will need to be brought back to the Committee for consideration setting out further detail, specifically to include information about the views of local residents and community groups on the proposed disposal of this playing field land.
