Purpose: To seek support for the recommendations to Cabinet by the School Parking Task

Content: (a)       Scrutiny notes the Committees’ recommendation that the  protocol is adopted for parking issues outside schools and circulation to all schools in Flintshire;   (b)       Scrutiny notes the Committees’ recommendation that the matrix for prioritising schools is implemented;   (c)        Scrutiny notes the Committees’ recommendation that all schools be required to produce a school travel plan and that the portfolios showcase some best practice examples or provide a standard template to schools;   (d)       Scrutiny notes the Committees’ recommendation that a pan  el be set up to assess complaints received in accordance with the criteria and determine action to be taken based on the established protocol;   ( e)      Scrutiny notes the intention to explore the use of vehicle-mounted ANPR technology to enhance existing Civil Parking enforcement activities; and   (f)        Scrutiny notes that further work is required on the 5 minute parking grace period and  further work will take place following implementation of the protocol for addressing.
