Purpose: At its meeting of 9th December 2024, the Communities Parks and Leisure Policy Committee approved the making of a Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) and initiated a review of the implementation of the PSPO to be presented to the Committee 6 months after the implementation of the PSPO seeking the views and experience of organisations representing city centre businesses, voluntary and faith sector organisations, South Yorkshire Police and Sheffield City Council regarding the Public Spaces Protection Order, its impacts, successes and consequences

Content: 10.1 The Committee considered a report of the Executive Director of Neighbourhood Services which outlined the review of the City Centre Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) 6 months after its implementation in April 2025     10.2 RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY: That the Communities, Parks and Leisure Policy Committee note the contents of the report and the conclusions drawn from the data and survey of organisations, relating to the 6 months since the implementation of the PSPO in April 2025.         10.3 Reasons for Decision     10.3.1 The report provides an update with regards to the 6-month review following the implementation of the City Centre PSPO in April 2025.         10.4 Alternatives Considered and Rejected     10.4.1 The report is to note the review of the 6 months since the implementation of the PSPO. No decision or change is being proposed and therefore there are no alternatives to consider.
