Purpose: To consider approving changes to the Council’s Discretionary Policy to include a 100% award of support for Council Tax to households impacted by terminal illness.

Content: 1.         That the Council’s amended Discretionary Financial Assistance Policy, attached as an Annex, incorporating support for households impacted by a terminal illness diagnosis, be approved. 2.         That the scheme and costs be monitored over the next twelve months and reviewed in readiness for the start of the 2027/28 financial year.
