Purpose: To approve allocations Policy Amendments and Changes to the Partnership agreement for Gateway to Homechoice

Content: It was RESOLVED: -   1.1          That Cabinet approved the revised Allocations Policy (Appendix A).   1.2          That Cabinet endorsed the list of changes detailed in Appendix B.   1.3          That Cabinet authorised officers to implement the policy and update the Gateway website accordingly.   REASON FOR DECISION To ensure the Council complied with recent legislative changes, including:   ·       The Allocation of Housing (Qualification Criteria for Victims of Domestic Abuse and Care Leavers) (England) Regulations 2025 ·       The Allocation of Housing (Qualification Criteria for Armed Forces) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2024 ·       To improve clarity on suspensions, local connection criteria, and banding rules. ·       To maintain fairness, transparency, and operational consistency across the Gateway partnership   Alternative Options Considered and Rejected: Reject the proposed changes and retain the current policy.   Approve the policy in principle subject to further consultation with stakeholders   Any Declarations of Interests Declared: None Any Dispensation Granted: None
