Purpose: Approve the following Housing Policies:   Housing Management Policies  ·        Estate Management  ·        E-Bike & Mobility Scooter  ·        Reasonable Adjustments  ·        Vulnerable Residents  Compliance Policies  ·        Asbestos  ·        Damp & Mould  ·        Electrical Safety  ·        Fire Safety  ·        Gas & Heating  ·        Lift Safety  ·        Water Hygiene   

Content: Decision: 1.     To approve the updated Compliance and Housing Policies as set out in appendices 1-11 of the report submitted to the Executive.     2.     To authorise the Joint Assistant Director of Housing, in consultation with the Lead Councillor for Housing, to make minor amendments to the policies when necessary to ensure ongoing compliance with legislation and regulatory standards.    Reason: As part of the Housing Improvement Programme, Housing Services has developed and updated a number of core operational policies to ensure alignment with good practice, statutory and regulatory requirements and the Regulator of Social Housing’s Consumer Standards.   Other options considered and rejected by the Executive: Option 2: Reject or defer the policies   ·      Would leave GBC without formalised approved Policies   Option 3: Redraft policies significantly   ·      May delay implementation ·      No current evidence that major changes are required   Details of any conflict of interest declared by the Leader or lead councillors and any dispensation granted: None.
