Purpose: The report will present an evaluation of the performance of the Local Authority Education Service in supporting its schools during the academic year ending August 2025, in line with the expectations set out in the Welsh Government Framework for evaluation, improvement and accountability. It will also provide an outline of the progress made in setting up the new Cardiff School Improvement Service, and its integration into the wider Education family of services to schools during the Autumn Term 2025.   Further it will provide an update on the Welsh Government’s programme of work to use data and information to support learning and improvement, including progress in launching the new 14 – 16 Learning Entitlement Indicators Framework, due for implementation in 2027.  

Content: RESOLVED: that,following consideration of the "Annual Report on Investment in the Education Estate", the Education Annual Performance report for 2024/25 be noted.
