Content: 13.1 The Committee considered a report of the Executive Director of Neighbourhoods which sought approval to accept a grant of £100,000 (one hundred thousand pounds) from the FCC Environmental Community Fund, to be paid to Sheffield City Council in accordance with the terms of the funding agreement, to contribute to the delivery of the Firth Park Playground Improvements project.     13.2 RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY: That the Charity Trustees Sub-Committee: - (a)  Notes the contents of the report; and (b)  Approves the acceptance of £100,000 in grant funding from FCC Environmental and the delivery of the works to improve the facilities.         13.3 Reasons for Decision     13.3.1 Accepting the funding from FCC allows the Firth Park Playground Improvements project to be completed which delivers the Charity’s objectives. This investment will help fulfil the ambitions of local people to have improved local play facilities. The improvements will enhance accessibility and safety while improving health and wellbeing by encouraging outdoor physical activity and social interaction in the Firth Park area.     13.4 Alternatives Considered and Rejected     13.4.1 Option 1: Doing Nothing Reasons for rejection: Not accepting the FCC grant would result in the planned Firth Park Playground Improvements project being undeliverable in its current iteration. The project would have to be significantly valued engineered to reduce costs resulting in few upgrades being possible     13.4.2 Option 2: Seeking alternate funding Reasons for rejection: Alternate funding for the project could have been sought but this would have resulted in significant delays to the project
