Purpose:

Content: 11.1 The Committee considered a report of the Executive Director, City Futures seeking approval to establish a framework contract for the provision of traffic surveys including, motor vehicles, cycling, pedestrian and parking surveys. And in order to do this, progress a competitive tender to establish a select number of suppliers for the services detailed in the report.     11.2 RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY: That the Transport, Regeneration and Climate Policy Committee approves the commissioning of a traffic volume, speed, active travel and parking surveying contract for 4-years with an estimated value of approximately £1.5m* across the contract term.     11.3 Reasons for Decision     11.3.1 To improve efficiency and obtain best value within the procurement process for all future surveys.     11.3.2 To be compliant with procurement legislation     11.4 Alternatives Considered and Rejected     11.4.1 Continue with individual scheme-by-scheme procurement. This approach has implications for both time and financial resources and may also affect compliance with procurement regulations.
