Content: Ash residents can give their views on proposed Neighbourhood Plan Residents in Ash can help shape the future of their community by taking part in a consultation on a proposed Neighbourhood Plan.  This is a real opportunity for the Ash community to directly influence the places where they live and work. The more people who get involved, the stronger the final Plan will be.   The consultation will run until 12noon on Monday 9 March. More information on the Plan and an online response form are available on our consultation website.   Community Governance Review for Guildford Town The community governance review for Guildford Town launched on Tuesday 6 February 2026. Households in the ten wards being consulted have received booklets telling them about it. There is a social media campaign to encourage feedback from residents.   On Wednesday 4 February, we will be hosting an online presentation at 7.30pm for residents who might have questions. You can register for this event on our website.  We are also holding a series of pop-up events including: ·      outside the Guildhall 10am to 2pm on Tuesday 3 February 2026 ·      at The Hive from 10am to 1pm on Thursday 26 February 2026   Experience Guildford has also kindly offered to take some of our CGR booklets to the re-fresher fair at the University of Surrey on Friday 6 February 2026 More information is on our website. Searching for ‘Community Governance Review stage 2’.   Electric Theatre roundtable event The Leader thanked all the performers, venue operators, arts groups and other stakeholders, who participated in the roundtable event that we hosted earlier this month. Led by an independent facilitator, the session was designed to bring the community together to work together to shape ideas and develop shared values for the theatre's future. Participants demonstrated real energy and passion throughout the day and provided valuable insights. A report on this would be considered by the Executive later this year. To find out more about the roundtable visit the newsroom of our website.   New Guildford Climate Hub launches The Council had recently launched a new online resource to help residents, businesses and community groups better understand climate change and how they can take action. The ‘Guildford Climate Hub’ brings together clear, trusted information in one place. It explains: ·      what climate change means for Guildford, ·      what we are doing to address it ·      and how everyone in the borough can play their part.   It also highlights local support, events and community groups who are making a difference. This new website supports one of our key priorities; to make Guildford a more sustainable borough.   Business Question Time The fourth Guildford and Waverley Business Question Time will take place on Monday 16 March at the Harbour Hotel. It will be a free event bringing local businesses together to network, share ideas and hear from leading voices.   This year’s theme would be Resilience in the Digital Age, with a keynote from Jane Frankland MBE, a renowned cyber?security expert. Businesses will also have the chance to quiz a diverse panel covering digital transformation, sustainability, innovation and women in business.
