Content: Decision: 1.            To note the insights and feedback shared by residents and stakeholders through the community survey and roundtable discussion, as set out in Appendices 1 and 2 to this report. 2.      To recognise the importance of The Electric Theatre to Guildford and its value as an arts, culture and performance venue in the town. 3.      To commit to exploring options for the Theatre’s future use as an arts and performance venue with community access, subject to independent viability assessment and any future market engagement confirming that this can be delivered sustainably.   Reason(s): 1.            To update the Executive on the situation concerning The Electric Theatre and proposed next steps. 2.            To guide next steps for determining the future of The Electric Theatre, subject to viability work ensuring the Council meets its Best Value duty.   Other options considered and rejected by the Executive: Option 2 (not recommended): In noting the outcomes of the engagement process, the Executive can choose to consider alternative options or potential uses for the building.   Details of any conflict of interest declared by the Leader or lead councillors and any dispensation granted: None.
