Purpose:

Content: Decision:   That the new discretionary Food and Drink Hospitality Rates Relief 2026/27, be adopted.   Reason for Decision:   The Welsh Government will provide grant funding to all 22 local authorities in Wales to deliver Food and Drink Hospitality Rates Relief to eligible businesses for 2026-27. The relief will support eligible occupied properties by offering a discount of 15% on non-domestic rates bills for such properties. Each Authority must adopt the scheme and decide in each individual case when to grant relief under Section 47 of The Local Government Finance Act 1988. Business Rates relief provided in this scheme is then reimbursed via a grant to each Local Authority.   Implementation of Decision:   The decision will be implemented after the three day call in period.
