Purpose: To seek approval for the Fostering Sufficiency Capital Project and the Fostering Sufficiency Adaptations and Extensions Policy.

Content: The Committee RESOLVED unanimously:   1.      To approve the Fostering Sufficiency Adaptations and Extensions Policy.   2.      To approve the use of £3.22m ITS capital funding to deliver the Foster Carer Capital Grants Scheme.   3.      To authorise the Executive Director for Children & Young People in consultation with the Chair of the Children & Young People committee take all steps required to spend the allocated capital funds to undertake adaptations and extensions to increase fostering sufficiency, as outlined within the report.   4.      To authorise the Executive Director for Children & Young People in consultation with the Chair of the Children & Young People committee to take all steps required to procure and award a contract for capital delivery consultants as required and in-line with the procurement routes and maximum budget envelopes outlined in this report.   5.      To authorise the Executive Director for Children & Young People to invoke any subsequent extensions/variations specifically defined in the contract(s) being awarded, up to the maximum budget envelope outlined in this report.
