Purpose: To approve the Neighbourthood Development Plan Support

Content: It was RESOLVED: -   1.1          That Cabinet supported Option 1 to agree the principle of offering individual grants to Town and Parish Councils to support the preparation of Neighbourhood Development Plans / Reviews, which sought to allocate sites for housing development that make an agreed contribution to meeting the district-wide housing needs.   1.2          That Cabinet delegated authority to the Director of Place in consultation with the Section 151 Officer and the Cabinet Member for Heritage, Planning and Infrastructure to agree the final procedures and processes and agree a limit of no more than £20,000 financial support per Neighbourhood Development Plan.    REASON FOR DECISION   To enable communities to bring forward Neighbourhood Development Plans that continue to add value at the local level and were an effective Development Plan Document to guide future planning decisions.   Alternative Options Considered and Rejected: Option 2: To agree the principle of offering individual grants to Town and Parish Councils to support the preparation of any Neighbourhood Development Plan / Review, irrespective of whether or not the Plan or Plan Review seeks to allocate sites for housing development that make an agreed contribution to meeting the district-wide housing needs.    Option 3: Continue to provide in-kind support, but do not provide any direct financial support.   Any Declarations of Interests Declared: None Any Dispensation Granted: None
