Purpose: To consider the outcome of the tender exercise and to recommend to Council award of the Grounds Maintenance and Street Cleaning contract to preferred supplier.

Content: The Council resolved that: (i)      the contract for the provision of Grounds Maintenance and Street Cleaning Services be awarded to the highest scoring tenderer for an initial contract period of eight years and it be noted that the value of the contract is estimated to be £3m during 2025/26, subject to annual indexation thereafter; and (ii)     authority be delegated to the Head of Environmental Services and Director of Legal and Democratic Services, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder, to complete the necessary contract document exchanges.
