Future arrangements for services currently delivered by Hampshire County Council under service level agreements (Children’s Services)

Purpose: When the children’s services partnership arrangement between IOW and HCC ended on 31/1/24, service level agreements were put in place for ten services (e.g. Multi agency safeguarding hub, educational psychology, and school improvement). The IOW needs to proceed with the next stage of designing and implementing future arrangements before the end of these service level agreements, and Cabinet are asked to approve the proposed next steps.

Content: That authority is delegated to the Head of Paid Service (Chief Executive), in conjunction with the Strategic Director of Children’s Services, and the Director of Finance, to ensure appropriate resources required to ensure the council can meet its statutory duties are available following the end of the current service level agreements with Hampshire County Council.
