Content: 9.1 The Licensing Strategy and Policy Officer presented a report setting out the details of the revised Statement of Principles (Gambling Policy), to be published under the Gambling Act 2005 and details of the consultation process that had been undertaken. The report seeks approval on the final version of the Statement of Principles (policy) and for it to be referred to Full Council.     9.2 RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY: That the Waste and Street Scene Policy Committee approves the Statement of Principles (Policy) for submission to Full Council on the 4th of December 2024, to ensure compliance with the Council’s statutory requirements set out in the 2005 Act and associated regulations and guidance to have the policy adopted by Full Council and published in time for the Statement of Principles to be in effect in January 2025.     9.3 Reasons for Decision     9.3.1 The reason for this recommendation is to ensure compliance with the Council’s statutory requirements set out in the 2005 Act and associated regulations and guidance to have the policy referred to and adopted by Full Council and published in time for the Statement of Principles to be in effect in January 2025.     9.4 Alternatives Considered and Rejected     9.4.1 No alternative options have been considered as the Licensing Authority of Sheffield City Council has a legal duty to publish a Statement of Principles (policy) under the Gambling Act 2005 every three years as detailed in paragraph 2.7 above.
