Purpose:

Content: 13.1 The Service Manager for the Sheffield Childrens Safeguarding Partnership introduced the report which provided an update to the Committee of the MASA for the Sheffield Children Safeguarding Partnership that meets the requirements of Working Together 2023. The three statutory safeguarding partners (Local Authority, Police and Health) and any agency identified as relevant within the city must adhere to the arrangements. 13.2 RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY: That the Education, Children and Families Policy Committee:- Note and endorse the new SCSP Multi-Agency Safeguarding Arrangements (MASA) for publication in December 2024. Agree at what delegated level future changes to the MASA can be agreed (any changes must be published as a requirement of WT23 and reported to the DfE as soon as possible). Agree at what delegated level an annual review of the MASA can be agreed. 13.3 Reasons for Decision 13.3.1 To note and endorse the statutory multi-agency safeguarding arrangements for the Sheffield Children Safeguarding Partnership. 13.4 Alternatives Considered and Rejected 13.4.1 This is a statutory requirement, therefore there are no other options to consider.
