Purpose:
Content: 9.1 The Service Manager for the Sheffield Childrens Safeguarding Partnership introduced the report to the Committee. The report highlighted that: · in line with the Working Together to Safeguard Children 2023, the three statutory partners must publish a yearly report setting out the work they have undertaken that year. · Safeguarding partners must jointly report on the activity they have undertaken in 12-month period. · Reporting should be transparent and easily accessible to families and professionals. · The focus of the reports should be on multi-agency priorities, learning, impact, evidence, and improvement. 9.2 RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY: That the Education, Children and Families Policy Committee:- Note the contents of the annual report. Be aware of the work of the Sheffield Children’s Safeguarding Partnership. 9.3 Reasons for Decision 9.3.1 It is important that the committee note the contents of the Annual Report and that the Committee are aware of the work of the Sheffield Children Safeguarding Partnership. 9.4 Alternatives Considered and Rejected 9.4.1 The Report is a statutory requirement for the first time in 2024. Therefore’ Do nothing’ was not a viable option this year.
