The sub-committee were scheduled to consider a report about an application for a Dual Driver's Licence under the provisions of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 and the Town Police Clauses Act 1847. The meeting papers name the applicant, but as no decision has yet been made, this article will not name them.
The agenda for the meeting explained that:
...the press and public [would] be excluded from the meeting... as [it] involve[d] the likely disclosure of exempt information... relating to any individual.
The report pack included the application itself, and a pack of additional information that was submitted by the applicant after the original meeting papers were published.
