King's Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS) and the King's Award for Enterprise (KAE) Schemes
The committee reviewed a report on the King’s Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS) and the King’s Award for Enterprise (KAE). The Deputy Lieutenants for West Yorkshire explained the awards' significance and the application process. They encouraged members to identify and nominate local groups, noting that the awards are prestigious and can help organisations secure additional funding. Previous winners include DAZL Dance and Friends of Roundhay Park. The scheme is open from 1 June to 15 September 2024. Ms Baker from the West Yorkshire Lieutenancy Office can be contacted for nominations.
