58 Lundhill Road, Wombwell, Barnsley - Application No 2023/0523
The Board approved Planning Application 2023/0523, which sought to vary condition 20 (landscaping) of application 2022/0608. This application pertains to the development of 235 homes at 58 Lundhill Road, Wombwell, Barnsley, S73 0RJ. The variation allows changes to the number of trees felled and planted. The decision was made in accordance with the Officer recommendation and subject to updated conditions referencing the latest plans.
Planning Appeals Quarter 3 2023/24
The Head of Planning and Building Control provided an update on planning appeals for Quarter 3 of 2023/24. Between October and December 2023, three appeals were received, none were withdrawn, and nine were determined. Of these, one appeal was allowed, and eight were dismissed. Cumulatively, since 1 April 2023, 22 appeals have been decided, with 17 (77%) dismissed and five (23%) allowed. The Board noted the update.
Planning Enforcement Report Q3 2023/24
An update on the Planning Enforcement Service's activities for Quarter 3 of 2023/24 was presented. The report detailed the requests for service received and key actions and enforcement case outcomes. The Service issued 20 enforcement notices for the year to date, with eight complied with during the period. The Board noted the report.
Member Consultation Reports
The Head of Planning and Building Control summarised the outcomes of the planning applications agenda packs issued as Board Member Consultations for November and December 2023. Both reports were noted by the Board.
