This meeting of the Appointments Sub Committee was to include confidential discussions on staffing arrangements for Chief Officers of the council.

The committee was scheduled to approve the minutes of a previous meeting held on the 8 July 2024.

The Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012 require that the council must give 5 clear days notice that part of a meeting is to be held in private. The committee gave notice that the part of this meeting that discussed Chief Officer Staffing Arrangements would be held in private because it is likely, in view of the nature of the business to be transacted, that were members of the public to be present, there would be a disclosure of exempt business.
