Request support for South Gloucestershire
We're not currently able to provide detailed weekly summaries for South Gloucestershire Council. We need support from the council to:
- Ensure we can reliably access and process council meeting information
- Cover the costs of processing and summarizing council data
- Maintain and improve the service for residents
You can help make this happen!
Contact your councillors to let them know you want South Gloucestershire Council to support Open Council Network. This will help ensure residents can stay informed about council decisions and activities.
If you represent a council or business, or would be willing to donate to support this service, please contact us at community@opencouncil.network.

Exclusion of Press and Public
Before discussing the appeals, the meeting moved into closed session to discuss exempt information. The Board voted to exclude the press and public from the meeting to discuss:

Information relating to any particular application for a recipient of former recipient of any financial assistance provided by the authority. Information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (other than the authority).
The Board cited Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 19721 as the legal justification for this decision.
-
The Local Government Act 1972 is an Act of the UK Parliament that consolidated much of the legislation relating to local government in England and Wales. Schedule 12A to the Act sets out the circumstances in which local authorities can exclude the public from meetings. ↩
