The Licensing and Enforcement Sub Committee of East Devon District Council met on the 11th of December 2024 at 9.30 am to discuss applications for a street trading consent and to determine whether a number of taxi drivers are fit and proper to hold licences. The meeting was also scheduled to hear a number of urgent items in private.
Application for consent to street trade
Ladram Bay Holiday Park
An application was made for the grant of a Street Trading Consent for the sale of hot and cold food and drinks from a mobile catering unit at Ladram Bay Holiday Park in Budleigh Salterton. The application was made by Mr J Hammett of Lyme Bay Food Company.
The application was considered in the context of the council's 'Street Trading Policy'.1
Hackney carriage driver suitability
The committee was scheduled to consider whether a number of Hackney carriage drivers are fit and proper to continue to be licensed. The drivers cannot be named as the matters were listed as exempt items on the agenda.
Private hire driver suitability
The committee was scheduled to consider whether a number of private hire drivers are fit and proper to continue to be licensed. The drivers cannot be named as the matters were listed as exempt items on the agenda.
