Summary
The meeting on 6 December 2024 was a meeting of the Crewe Town Board to discuss various projects and initiatives related to the ongoing regeneration of Crewe. Crewe Town Board Budget 2025/2026
The Board considered a report on the proposed budget for the 2025/2026 financial year.
The report proposed a balanced budget, with income and expenditure of £1,000. The Board discussed the budget in detail and agreed to recommend it to the Council's Cabinet for approval.
Appointment of New Board Member
The Board noted the appointment of a new board member, Doug Kinsman, to replace Councillor Steve Hogben.
Market Hall Redevelopment
The Board received an update on the progress of the Market Hall redevelopment. The redevelopment was progressing well and was on track to be completed by the end of 2024. The Board was pleased with the progress that had been made and looked forward to the opening of the redeveloped Market Hall.
Crewe Town Investment Plan
The Board considered a report on the Crewe Town Investment Plan, which was due to be submitted to the Government in March 2025.
The report provided an update on the development of the Crewe Town Investment Plan, which is being developed in partnership with Cheshire East Council and other key stakeholders. The plan will set out a long-term vision for the town and identify a range of projects and initiatives that will help to deliver this vision.
The Board discussed the report in detail and agreed to note its contents.
