The Overview and Scrutiny Committee will be considering a range of topics relating to housing in Stevenage, as well as receiving a presentation about the Stevenage Borough Council Website. The committee will also consider the decisions made at a meeting of the Cabinet on 11 December, and the minutes of its own previous meeting.
Housing in Stevenage
The committee will be considering a range of issues relating to housing in Stevenage.
Housing Revenue Account (HRA) - Draft Budget and Rent Setting 2025/26
The meeting will include consideration of the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) budget for 2025/26, which is a ringfenced account containing the money the council receives from rent and service charges. The committee will also consider the proposed rent levels for council tenants in 2025/26.
Homelessness and Rough Sleeper Strategy
Councillors will consider a report on the Homelessness and Rough Sleeper Strategy. The strategy sets out how the council plans to prevent and reduce homelessness in Stevenage.
Housing Inspection Outcome
The Overview and Scrutiny committee will receive the report of an inspection into the council's housing services.
Repairs and Maintenance Policy
The council's Repairs and Maintenance Policy1 is due to be considered, which sets out how the council manages repairs and maintenance to its housing stock.

The committee will consider a report on the council's performance in Quarter 2 of 2024/25.

The committee will receive a presentation from Stevenage Borough Council's Business Improvement Manager about the Stevenage Borough Council Website.
