The Cabinet Member for Deputy Leader - Independent Families - Adults and Health met and approved all of the recommendations put before them on the 11th of December 2024. The meeting considered reports about proposed changes to the council's constitution, and the proposed budget for 2025-26.
Proposed Revisions to the Constitution
The meeting considered a report on proposed revisions to the constitution of North East Lincolnshire Council.
The proposed changes to the constitution were approved.
The changes were needed to:
- Reflect the creation of a new Children and Education Scrutiny Panel.
- Update the terms of reference for all scrutiny panels to be consistent with the Local Government Act 2000.

Revenue Budget 2025-26
The meeting considered a report on the proposed revenue budget for 2025-26.
The report was noted.
The report set out the financial context for the budget setting process for 2025-26 and provided an update on the Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS).
The report highlighted:
- The council is facing a number of financial challenges, including increasing demand for services and reduced funding from central government.
- The council has identified a number of savings proposals, but these will not be enough to close the funding gap.
- The council will need to make some difficult decisions about its priorities in order to set a balanced budget for 2025-26.
