The General Licensing and Registration Sub-Committee (1) met to discuss a private hire operator licence application. The sub-committee also approved the minutes of their previous meeting.

Private Hire Operator Licence Application

The sub-committee considered an application to be licensed as a private hire operator. This item was discussed in Part B of the meeting, which was closed to the public because it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information .

Private Hire Driver Licence Application

At their meeting on 18 February 2025, the sub-committee considered an application for a private hire driver’s licence. The Senior Licensing Enforcement Officer, whose name is I Dargue, presented a report, noting a date error within it which he corrected for the members. PC A Newcombe provided additional information regarding five further offences committed by the applicant that had not been disclosed on the application. The applicant was given the opportunity to address the sub-committee. The sub-committee retired to deliberate in private before reconvening to announce their decision to refuse the licence.
