The Licensing and Regulatory Sub-Committee (2) (Hackney Carriage & Private Hire Taxi Licensing) of Coventry Council met on 16 September 2025 to discuss Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Taxi Licensing. Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver's Licences
The committee was scheduled to discuss two reports from the Director of Law and Governance regarding Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver's Licences. These were:
- A review of a Hackney Carriage Driver's Licence
- An application for the grant of a Hackney Carriage Driver's Licence
Exclusion of Press and Public
The committee was scheduled to consider whether to exclude the press and public from the meeting for the items of private business. The reason cited in the agenda frontsheet was that the items involved the likely disclosure of exempt information, as defined in Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 19721.
