The Licensing Board Sub-Committee of Rotherham Council met on 23 September 2025 to discuss several licensing matters. These included applications for Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Drivers' Licences, and applications for House to House Collection Permits. Some of these items were expected to be discussed in the absence of the press and public.
Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Drivers' Licences
The sub-committee was scheduled to consider applications for the grant, renewal, or review of Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Drivers' Licences. These applications were expected to be discussed in the absence of the press and public, as they were considered exempt under the Police Act 19971 and Paragraphs 3 and 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 19722 (business affairs and prevention of crime).
House to House Collection Permits
The sub-committee was also scheduled to determine applications for House to House Collection Permits.
