Police and Crime Panel - Tuesday 17 June 2025 1.00 pm

The Police and Crime Panel of County Durham Council met on 17 June 2025 to discuss the Joint Independent Audit Committee Annual Report 2024-25, the Police and Crime Commissioner's Quarterly Performance Report, arrangements for the appointment of an Independent Co-opted Member, the Police and Crime Panel Annual Report 2024-25 and Work Programme 2025-26, and a complaints update. The meeting was also scheduled to include the election of a chair and vice-chair.

Standards Committee - Monday 9 June 2025 1.00 pm

The Standards Committee of Durham County Council met on 9 June 2025 to discuss standards issues affecting local government. The committee was scheduled to discuss updates to the Code of Conduct, the annual report of the committee, and the recruitment of independent persons. They were also scheduled to review the committee's work programme for the coming year.

Corporate Parenting Panel - Friday 6 June 2025 9.30 am

The Corporate Parenting Panel were scheduled to meet to discuss the annual report, the pre-birth intervention service, the Future Hope programme, and performance data relating to children in care and care leavers. The panel was also scheduled to receive updates from the Head of Children's Social Care on the Ofsted inspection of Durham Local Authority Children's Services (ILACS), from strategic managers on 'proud moments', and from young people of the Children in Care Council (CiCC).

Annual, County Council - Wednesday 21 May 2025 10.00 am

At the annual meeting of Durham County Council, Councillor Robbie Rodiss was elected as Chair and Councillor Jackie Teasdale as Vice Chair. Councillor Andrew Husband was elected as Leader of the Council, who then announced his Deputy Leader and Cabinet members. The council also approved the scheme of delegation as set out in the Council's Constitution.

Area Planning Committee (South and West) - Thursday 17 April 2025 10.00 am

The Area Planning Committee (South and West) met to discuss planning applications in County Durham. Councillors approved an application for the erection of a 3,600-seated arena, a small lake, landscaped hillside performance area, performance bridge and associated works for 'Lost Feather' bird show at Kynren, Flatts Farm, and were minded to approve an application for the construction of 42 no. bungalows at land west of petrol filling station, Bank Top Terrace, Trimdon Village.
