This meeting was the third ordinary meeting of the 2024/2025 Municipal Year. It included discussion of a petition, scheduled questions from members of the public and Councillors, a report on the work of the Standards Committee, and consideration of motions on the hostile environment, rough sleeping, drug harm reduction and the two-child benefit cap. It also included the appointment of Councillors to outside bodies and the review of political balance on the Council's committees.
Health in Hackney Scrutiny Commission - Thursday 14 November 2024 7.00 pm
The Health in Hackney Scrutiny Commission received updates on the City & Hackney Place Based System, plans to possibly in-source Soft Facility Management services at Homerton Hospital, the new GP Provider Organisation City & Hackney Integrated Primary Care, and the Public Health Medium Term Financial Plan. The Commission expressed strong support for in-sourcing the soft facilities contract at the Homerton and noted that savings are still being sought to balance the Public Health budget.

Special Meeting, Scrutiny Panel - Monday 11 November 2024 7.00 pm
The Scrutiny Panel voted to uphold the original decision made by Mr Tyler Linton, the Assistant Director of Street Scene for Hackney Council. The decision was about the adoption of Traffic Management Orders for the Amherst Road and Pembury Circus Transformation Scheme. The meeting was held to consider the validity of a call-in made against the scheme by five Hackney Councillors.
Inner North East London Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday 6 November 2024 7.00 pm
This meeting included a range of reports from NHS North East London and its providers, including the East London NHS Foundation Trust.[^1] The Committee was also scheduled to discuss how the NHS proposes to delegate the responsibility for specialised services to local Integrated Care Boards.
