The Hackney Council Scrutiny Panel met to discuss key issues facing the borough, including the delivery of manifesto commitments, the corporate transformation programme, and the scrutiny improvement review. Councillor Margaret Gordon, Chair of the Scrutiny Panel, led the meeting, which included a Cabinet Question Time with Mayor Caroline Woodley. The panel approved the Scrutiny Panel Response and Action Plan for the London Borough of Hackney Scrutiny Improvement Review.

Pensions Committee - Tuesday 11 March 2025 6.30 pm

This meeting was scheduled to include a deputation from a group of Trade Unions - UNISON, Unite and GMB - asking the Pensions Committee to consider their views on engagement with the committee, worker representation, ethical divestment, and the results of a recent survey of the council's pension scheme members.

Inner North East London Joint Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee - Wednesday 5 March 2025 7.00 pm

This meeting was scheduled to include a review of how NHS North East London was responding to the Government's 10-Year Health Plan. The meeting was also scheduled to receive an update on the financial position of the NHS in North East London.

2025-26 Budget Setting, Council - Wednesday 26 February 2025 7.00 pm

This meeting was the last meeting of Hackney Council for the 2024/25 municipal year, and included a wide-ranging set of reports, a review of the proposed budget for 2025/26 and a number of motions submitted by the Green and Labour groups.

Additional, Pensions Committee - Thursday 20 February 2025 6.00 pm, NEW

This meeting was scheduled to include training sessions on climate risk disclosures and the triennial valuation process, as well as the annual report on the committee's activities. The meeting also included the potential exclusion of the press and public for some items.
