Wiltshire Police and Crime Panel - Thursday 26 June 2025 10.30 am
The Wiltshire Police and Crime Panel met to discuss a range of issues, including the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer, an update from Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Wilkinson, OBE, MPhil, and a report on the Police and Crime Plan. The panel was also scheduled to receive a presentation on road safety.
Licensing Committee - Monday 16 June 2025 10.30 am
The Licensing Committee was scheduled to meet to discuss a number of licensing issues in Wiltshire, including proposed changes to hackney carriage fees, and updates from the police, passenger transport, taxi licensing and public protection teams. The committee was also scheduled to review the minutes of previous sub-committee meetings and licensing appeals.
Westbury Area Board - Wednesday 11 June 2025 7.00 pm
The Westbury Area Board met to discuss community grants, highway improvements, and updates from partner organisations. The board was scheduled to consider grant applications for community projects, review local highway schemes, and receive updates from Wiltshire Police and other community partners. Councillors were also expected to discuss key challenges and opportunities in their divisions.
Extraordinary - On the rising of Full Council, not before 11am, Westbury Area Board - Tuesday 20 May 2025 11.00 am
The Westbury Area Board met to elect a chair and vice-chair, and to appoint a representative to the Local Highways and Footpath Improvement Group (LHFIG). Councillor Robert Smith was elected as Chairman, Councillor Gordon King, Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, was elected as Vice-Chairman, and Councillor Boaz Barry was appointed as the Lead Representative to the LHFIG.

The annual meeting of Wiltshire Council saw Councillor Laura Mayes elected as the new chairman, and Councillor Ruth Hopkinson elected as vice-chairman. Councillor Ian Thorne was appointed leader of the council for 2025-2029, and he announced his cabinet. Councillors also voted to delegate decisions on committee appointments to a later meeting, and to authorise work to establish a new financial scrutiny committee.
