Melksham Area Board - Wednesday 3 September 2025 7.00 pm

The Melksham Area Board convened to discuss local priorities, funding allocations, and updates from partner organisations. Councillors adopted six key priorities for the area, focusing on youth support, community spaces, food poverty, housing management, and employment for people with special needs. The board also approved community grants for Broughton Gifford Village Hall and 4Youth Southwest.

Council - Tuesday 22 July 2025 10.30 am

Wiltshire Council met on 22 July 2025, and among the topics discussed were youth services, treasury management, a bat mitigation strategy, and a motion to repudiate the council's climate emergency declaration. Councillors also debated and voted on motions regarding weight limits on roads and the Ask Angela scheme.

Western Area Planning Committee - Wednesday 9 July 2025 3.00 pm

The Western Area Planning Committee were scheduled to discuss planning applications, planning appeals, and a rights of way application at a meeting on 9 July 2025. The meeting was to be held at County Hall, Trowbridge. Cllr Stewart Palmén, Portfolio Holder for Schools, was scheduled to chair the meeting.

Wiltshire Police and Crime Panel - Thursday 26 June 2025 10.30 am

The Wiltshire Police and Crime Panel met to discuss a range of issues, including the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer, an update from Police and Crime Commissioner Philip Wilkinson, OBE, MPhil, and a report on the Police and Crime Plan. The panel was also scheduled to receive a presentation on road safety.

Western Area Planning Committee - Wednesday 11 June 2025 3.00 pm

The Western Area Planning Committee met to discuss planning appeals and applications in the western region of Wiltshire. The committee approved an outline application for an indoor training facility at Bradford Rubin Football Club in Winsley, and deferred a decision regarding the retrospective change of use of the George Hotel in Codford to allow for further discussion with the applicant. A decision on a retrospective application for a summer house/shed in Melksham was also deferred pending a site visit.
