Trowbridge Area Board - Thursday 18 September 2025 6.30 pm
The Trowbridge Area Board met to discuss a range of community safety and wellbeing issues, including updates from the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, Wiltshire Police, and Community First, as well as considering grant applications and the reinvigoration of the Wiltshire Carers Champions. Cabinet - Tuesday 16 September 2025 10.00 am
The Wiltshire Council cabinet met on 16 September 2025, and among the decisions made, the key topics discussed were the future of community based services, and a new approach to short breaks for children with additional needs. The cabinet also reviewed the financial position of the council, and agreed to land appropriations.

The Licensing Committee met on 15 September 2025 and discussed a range of licensing issues, including primate licensing, updates from the police, passenger transport, public protection and taxi licensing teams. The committee also approved the minutes of the previous meetings.
School Transport Appeal - BF, Appeals Sub-Committee (School Transport) - Tuesday 2 September 2025 1.00 pm
The Appeals Sub-Committee (School Transport) met to consider a school transport appeal. Councillor Adrian Foster was elected as Chairman for the meeting. The panel upheld the original decision that there was no obligation to provide free home to school transport, and found no exceptional circumstances that would necessitate a discretionary decision to depart from policy.
Northern Area Planning Committee - Wednesday 6 August 2025 2.00 pm
The Northern Area Planning Committee met to discuss planning appeals and a reserved matters application for a housing development in Calne. The committee noted several appeal decisions, including the dismissal of appeals against the refusal of planning permission for holiday lets, extensions, and loft conversions, and the approval of appeals for dwellings in Calne and Sutton Benger. The committee approved a reserved matters application for a housing development in Calne, subject to conditions.
