The Overview and Scrutiny Committee (OSC) met to discuss the Grenfell Recovery Programme, social investment, and the council's financial performance. The committee reviewed the delivery, reach, and impact of the Grenfell Recovery Programme, examined the Social Investment Impact Report, and discussed the Quarter 1 Revenue and Capital Financial Monitoring Report.

Audit & Transparency Committee - Monday, 29th September, 2025 6.30 pm

The Audit & Transparency Committee met to discuss the audit findings, value for money arrangements, and internal audit reports for the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The committee approved the 2024-25 audited statement of accounts, delegating authority to the chair and the Section 151 Officer[^2] to approve the final version after any further updates. They also reviewed progress against agreed actions and the committee's work programme for the year.

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea's Overview and Scrutiny Committee met on 17 September 2025, to discuss the closure of the K&C Oracle Programme, receive an update on the council's savings and transformation programme, and review the forward plan of key decisions. The committee also reviewed and agreed to its work programme for the municipal year 2025-26.

Housing & Communities Select Committee - Tuesday, 16th September, 2025 6.30 pm

The Housing and Communities Select Committee met to discuss the Regulator for Social Housing's inspection of the council, the Housing Revenue Account budget, the Housing Asset Management Strategy, the Lancaster West Refurbishment, and the Select Committee Work Programme. The committee agreed to the next steps for the Consultation Working Group.

Appointments Panel - Tuesday, 9th September, 2025 1.30 pm

The Kensington and Chelsea Council Appointments Panel, composed of Councillor Elizabeth Campbell, Leader of the Council, Councillor Sof McVeigh, Lead Member for Housing Management, Housing Safety & Building New Homes, and Councillor Claire Simmons, Chair, Housing and Communities Select Committee, convened to interview candidates for the Director of Housing Management position. This role is central to the council's commitment to improving its housing services, particularly in light of the Grenfell Tower tragedy[^2]. The meeting was scheduled to begin with a public session, but was expected to move into a closed session for the interview.
