Housing & Communities Select Committee - Tuesday, 16th September, 2025 6.30 pm
The Housing and Communities Select Committee met to discuss the Regulator for Social Housing's inspection of the council, the Housing Revenue Account budget, the Housing Asset Management Strategy, the Lancaster West Refurbishment, and the Select Committee Work Programme. The committee agreed to the next steps for the Consultation Working Group.
Full Council - Wednesday, 16th July, 2025 6.30 pm
The Kensington and Chelsea Full Council met on 16 July 2025, addressing a range of issues from local concerns to strategic policy decisions. Councillors approved a motion to investigate the impact of changes to National Insurance contributions, and they also discussed green spaces, mental health services, and the Grenfell Tower tragedy.
Housing & Communities Select Committee - Wednesday, 2nd July, 2025 6.30 pm
The Kensington and Chelsea Housing & Communities Select Committee met on Wednesday 2 July 2025, and agreed the minutes of the previous meetings held on 12 May 2025 and 21 May 2025, with actions to be chased outside of the meeting. The committee reviewed the Housing and Social Investment Annual Performance Report for 2024-2025, and discussed the Lancaster West Refurbishment report. The committee also discussed and agreed to develop a detailed work programme setting out reports and items to scheduled meetings of the Housing and Communities Select Committee during 2025/2026.
Full Council - Wednesday, 25th June, 2025 6.30 pm
The Kensington and Chelsea Full Council met to discuss a range of issues, including community safety, the impact of national insurance contributions, and step-free access at South Kensington station. The council agreed to note reports on urgent decisions and community safety, and also agreed to request that the Lead Member for Finance investigate the implications of changes to National Insurance Contributions (NICs) and make a written submission to the government.

At the annual general meeting of Kensington and Chelsea Council, Councillor Tom Bennett was elected as Mayor for the coming year, with Councillor Arian Oretti appointed as Deputy Mayor. The council also conducted its annual review of committee representation and appointments, ensuring political balance across its various committees and outside organisations. Additionally, the council paid tribute to the outgoing Mayor, Councillor Will Lane, and Deputy Mayor, Councillor Laura Burns, for their service over the past year.
