The Leicestershire County Council convened an extraordinary meeting to address the critical matter of local government reorganisation (LGR). The primary focus was to allow the County Council to comment on the proposals for LGR, with a supplementary report containing a draft Business Case also provided. Councillors were also expected to discuss the comments of the Scrutiny Commission on the proposals.

Investment Subcommittee - Wednesday, 1 October 2025 10.00 am

The Investment Subcommittee of Leicestershire County Council met on 1 October 2025 to discuss the minutes of their previous meeting, future meeting dates, and a review of the Fund's property, private debt and private equity investments. Hymans Robertson, the Fund's investment advisor, were scheduled to deliver a presentation as part of the discussion on investments. Some of the discussion on investments was expected to be held with the press and public excluded.

Local Pension Committee - Friday, 26 September 2025 9.30 am

The Local Pension Committee was scheduled to meet on Friday, 26 September 2025, at County Hall in Glenfield to discuss several items, including the Local Pension Board's annual report, the pension fund valuation, and responsible investment updates. The meeting was also scheduled to cover the pension fund's annual report and accounts, and a budget monitoring update.

County Council - Wednesday, 24 September 2025 2.00 pm

The Leicestershire County Council meeting on 24 September 2025 was scheduled to address a range of issues, including the revision of the council's constitution, and motions concerning the protection of rural communities and homes from flooding. Councillors were also due to answer questions from the public and consider reports from various committees.
