The Wandsworth Planning Applications Committee met on 24 April 2025, to discuss several planning applications, tree preservation orders, and reports. The most significant item was an application for The Glass Mill, which the committee voted to refuse. Other key items included a decision on The Lodge, and discussions around traffic implications and sustainability.

The Conservation and Heritage Advisory Committee (CHAC) met to discuss proposed changes to their terms of reference, and to review several planning applications. The committee voted to continue working on the proposed changes to their terms of reference, and reviewed applications for work on Edna Street, St John's Avenue, and Clapham Common West Side, providing feedback to officers.

The meeting approved the Council’s budget, including a council tax freeze for the third year in a row. The meeting also approved a package of reforms to the Council’s constitution, including new rules about which decisions are treated as “key decisions” and a new process for scrutinising Cabinet decisions.

The council approved the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) Budget and Rent Setting 2025/26 and a number of amendments to the Council's Standing Orders, following the walkout of all Conservative Councillors after the refusal of a motion to bring forward a debate on the possible closure of Bradstow School. The council also noted a number of supplementary items.

The Conservation and Heritage Advisory Committee objected to two applications, recommended approval of one and recommended refusal of another. They objected to proposals to erect banner adverts on Waterfall House, a Grade II listed building in Tooting, and on Wandsworth Town Hall. An application to demolish and rebuild a house at 70, Thurleigh Road was also opposed due to the loss of the existing building and trees, concerns about car parking, and the design of the proposed replacement. An application to extend the Star and Garter on Lower Richmond Road and convert it to residential use was supported.
