The Health Select Committee of Wiltshire Council met on 14 January 2026 to discuss the Wiltshire Health and Wellbeing Joint Strategic Needs Assessment 2025 and the findings of a rapid scrutiny exercise on urgent care services. Wiltshire Council's extraordinary meeting on 7 January 2026 saw a significant debate on the proposed disposal of St Stephen's Multi-Storey Car Park in Trowbridge, which was ultimately defeated by a tied vote. Councillors also discussed and approved an extension to the council tax premium on long-term empty homes, but rejected a proposal to introduce a premium on second homes.

Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee - Wednesday 19 November 2025 10.30 am

The Overview and Scrutiny Management Committee met on 19 November 2025, and agreed to note an update on the Wiltshire Community Strategic Partnership's work, including improvements to systems for the public to report anti-social behaviour, and to receive a further update in six months. The committee also endorsed the findings and recommendations of a Rapid Scrutiny Exercise on corporate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), while expressing disappointment at the Executive's limited acceptance of the recommendations, and agreed to consider two notices of motion regarding screenwash and billposting, task group updates, and select committee forward work programmes.

Trowbridge Area Board - Thursday 13 November 2025 6.30 pm

The Trowbridge Area Board met to discuss a range of issues, including the disposal of St Stephen's car park, updates on the Trowbridge Leisure Centre and highways improvements, and to decide on an application to create a legal street art wall in the Hilperton Road underpass, which was approved. The board also received updates from partner organisations, including Wiltshire Police, and discussed the Area Board priorities and action plan.

Environment Select Committee - Thursday 13 November 2025 10.30 am

The Environment Select Committee was scheduled to meet to discuss a streetscene maintenance contract, electric vehicle infrastructure, and updates from task groups.
